Flowing Fully in the Current of Life
Take a deep breath – you are ready for the ride of a lifetime. Your joy and love of life are intertwined with your sense of self. Enjoy every minute of the wonderful journey ahead of you. Hold out your hand and let your Higher Self and Spirit guides lead you to safety. You are ready for love.
Life is an experience of a journey along a fast flowing river through to the sea (or ocean). The experiences of life create a level of individual consciousness that is ever expanding – our consciousness expands rapidly with each new experience. As we progress, the experiences flow thick and fast, leading us to the greater awareness of our life’s journey to the ocean, to the oneness and the sum of all consciousness.
There is nothing more frightening than the thought of being fully swept up in the current of a fast-flowing river. The thought of having no way to control the movement down the river on the way to the sea is terrifying. Yet essentially that is what you are doing. You are flowing in the current of life and you are doing it well. You are at one with the journey of your life, enjoy-ing all the challenges and experiences that come your way. Whether you are experiencing a quiet time in your business or difficulties in your relationships (with colleagues, partner or children) you take everything in stride, trusting in your abilities and those around you, knowing that you and others are safe. Despite your fear you have learned to be at one with every experience and allow yourself to fully immerse in whatever you do. You allow yourself to dis-solve into an experience because your sense of self has a strong foundation. You know what your values are and what you stand for. You have learned that trust is the rudder, gearbox and accelerator all-in-one on this journey and you embrace it. Have fun on your journey back to Source.
Alternatively, you might be having the ride of your life but to you the speed of your journey through life feels out of control and therefore scary. This feeling keeps you from fully experiencing and enjoying the ride. Your challenges, workload and relationships overwhelm you, so you try to control the flow by putting on the brakes. You impede the speed of some aspect that does not feel comfortable for you. You allow your difficulties, the aches and pains of your body, or your fears in a relationship to distract you from the biggest ride of your life, the journey back to you. Allowing yourself to give over to the flow is the excitement of going back to Source energy. There is where you will feel that you and the ocean of consciousness are flowing as one.
Some who choose this card avoid living freely and fully. They are fearful of love and afraid to connect to their inner core because they fear tapping into all of their pain. If this is you, your mind will not let you experience the joy of life fully. Your mind tells you that you are not safe travelling this river of life. You enter each experience hindered by the guide of your past experiences, which sees the waters ahead fraught with dangers. As your guide instructs, you are afraid that if you let go fully you will sink into dank, dark waters and drown. The key is to recognise that you are doing this. The discomfort that you are now fully experiencing is telling you that your guiding light is your fear, and instead of avoiding the rocks you are hitting the rocks. You are experiencing what you choose fully.
Whether your guiding light is your excitement of living fully in the moment or the guiding light is your fear, you are embracing the moment. What we focus on is what we experience. This card is calling you to embrace life. Let your mind go. Sit back and enjoy the ebb and flow of conscious experience. Increase your awareness so you can embrace every experience fully. What are you focused on right now? For some, white-water rafting is a knuckle–biting, fearful experience. For others it is an adrenalin-filled high. It’s all in the way you choose to look at it. Do you want to experience the fear and the blocks it represents or would you rather go for the thrill of the ride?
