Don’t Stop Trying

As you face the last ten per cent of the journey you are feeling like you’ve hit the wall. This card calls you to connect to your core self, to your truth. The fruit of your creative effort is ready for harvesting.

Congratulations. You are nearly there and moving along the right track. It’s the last hundred metres – the last ten per cent of your journey towards your goal and now is the time for stamina. Stamina is not a painful struggle but rather based in faith – total faith in what you are doing and want to achieve. Faith is based upon something tangible – for instance, a feeling of love. It is based on the integration of where you have come from, where you have been (what you have learned) and where you are about to go in your journey. Think of this last ten per cent as if running a marathon – one hits the wall – and your faith in your training, in your vision, in your body’s capabilities gives you the stamina to get to the finish line. You see, that is the purpose of the last ten percent: integration through faith.

This card is a confirmation, an affirmation of the process of integration that is now underway. Have faith in yourself. Understand that each strand of the journey, each doorway you have walked through now leads to a central point and this last ten per cent of the journey occurs with ease. You are exactly in the right place and this is exactly the right time for you to achieve what you are after in your career, a creative project, relationship or any other area of your current pursuit. Keep your stamina strong as you complete your journey.

In this final stretch, when you are so close to your desired outcome be on the lookout for your saboteur. You have put your best foot forward as every delay or dispute along the way has challenged your sense of self. You have confronted most of the fears you have about yourself but at this point in your journey you are exhausted, feel depleted in your resources and this leaves you vulnerable to your saboteur. Confronted by what they see in themselves many people sabotage their own success. They leave the journey when faced with a difficult doorway in order to avoid what they feel about themselves.

Your saboteur will want you to see yourself through an old filtering system, such as perceiving an inability to complete, cope or resolve a conflict. This distorted perception will be a temptation for you to step away or leave your journey incomplete. You may jump ship or you may not but eventually you will come to the same point on the journey and this point is indeed the integration that says everything I know comes together and I use this integration wisely in this moment to guide me forward. The goal now is to remain steadfast in your faith and in your own abilities.

You’ve gained knowledge of yourself and the connection to your core is heightened. You are able to say, ‘I started here, it has been a journey of growth, understanding and expansion. I learned these skills along the way. I learned to set what boundaries were necessary to clarify myself to myself, to understand myself at that core level.’ You are now able to listen to your core intuition that says, ‘Invest here, trust this relationship, take this next step in your business, you made the right choices for your children, etc.’ Celebrate these triumphs. Your boundaries have been set. The emotional foundation is in place and provides you with guidance and the source of your stamina. You use your emotional foundation wisely in this moment to guide you forward. A shift in gears occurs when you act on that emotional foundation.

This shift is happening. Understand, however, that any project can remain unfinished for a variety of reasons. Circumstances, responsibilities towards family, conflicts in a relationship, career and community can all contribute to slowing your progress. If you cut yourself off from where you have come from, from the journey that has led you to this point, you will stumble and fall. The experience will always be that you are so tired, that you cannot do x, y and z.

In order to complete this journey of integration you must learn to ask the question, ‘What do I want?’ Learning to ask the question, ‘What do I want?’ is designed to clear your mind, connect you to your core self and remind you of the journey you started (the bigger picture). Asking ‘What do I want’ does not mean you are abandoning your family, friends or colleagues. You are not being selfish or self-focused because through your expansion of self will come the ability to serve at an even greater level. By realigning with your core self you are tapping into the universal Source of creative energy that brings you back into flow. When you experience flow you are able to refocus your day and orient your efforts to your higher purpose; you are able to prioritise your list of ‘things to do’ in a healthy way.

Call on your stamina and faith to carry you to the finish line. Prioritise yourself into your life – even if in the small hours of the morning. The time is now for integration of all that you are – it is the heart of your journey. Listen. Be happy. The fruit of your creative efforts is ready for harvesting.
