Celestial Navigation

Let yourself be guided by the stars. Ask the right questions and connect to your true feelings to understand the guidance being given to you.

Celestial navigation was the system used by ancient mariners to steer them to their destination. On the ocean there were no landmarks to  guide sailors so they relied on the constellation of stars above them. They sailed to destinations new and old using their relationship to the stars to direct them there safely.

As you navigate your life’s journey sailing through seas of contemporary existence, let your biggest dreams be like your North Star, the beacon that you have placed in the celestial distance to show you the way home. This dream is born of your Higher Self. The direction your Higher Self is choosing to explore along the path of this dream is seeded by your imagination. Every dream contains the supreme part of yourself and the core of your fears. These are the signposts of your navigation indicating that you are either on or off course. Awareness of your deepest feelings can guide you along the path. If you are feeling energised and joyful then you are aligned with your dream. If, however, the path you have chosen highlights your fear then your feelings will confuse you. So look to the stars for guidance.

The distance you see doesn’t indicate the length of your journey but the relationship you have with your goal. As you navigate towards your dream you may encounter fears you have regarding your self-worth and self-doubts. That fear will manifest in delays and confusion until it reconnects with your Higher Power. This reconnection happens when you go back to the start to your dream and the stars.

The key to your inner guidance is based on connection to your Higher Self as well as your Spirit guides and, in turn, these connections are based on your feelings. Feelings will either give you a sense of connection and flow or they will present an obstacle. You gauge the experience by this measure of your feelings. Inner guidance is given when you actively seek it by asking questions. Your questions need to be clear and simple. If you are uncertain of the answers you receive, then your question isn’t clear enough. Bear in mind that there is more than one solution or path available to you, which may add to your uncertainty. The answer may be given as a symbol, or may be telling you that you’re not fully connected to your feelings. Do you need to clarify which image is the correct image? If so, pose another question based on the information your images and feelings give you. If you are still confused, then you need to develop your ability to connect to your feelings in order to understand with certainty what you feel.

Guidance can leave you in a state of confusion if you receive several answers with different options. Your confusion is around which of these options is most aligned with your present purpose. Or, Spirit may actually be giving all of the answers at once, which in combination leave you feeling overwhelmed and confused. Another possible scenario for confusion is when you pose several questions all at the same time. Rather than getting your first question answered before moving on to the second you pose three questions all seeking very different results and this sets your mind up for confusion. You may also find yourself in a state of confusion when Spirit answers because you have not been clear with your ultimate goal. If you keep asking the same questions (and reinforcing your uncertainty) you will build the energy of fear associated with your goal and may be unlikely to understand the guidance you are being given. Whatever the case, you will find that your answers will reflect this confusion or uncertainty in your mind.

Your confusion is the doorway you are being asked to cross; to ‘Pass Go’ in order to expand your consciousness and experience flow and ultimately love. When you approach this doorway, start the process by distinguishing your ‘Yes’ feelings from your ‘No’ feelings. To help you develop your ability to work with your guidance break your questions down to the simplest components such as, ‘What shall I have for breakfast?’ Most people usually know what they feel like eating. Focus on the feeling you have, the certainty of eggs instead of cereal. If your problem is making choices then you will only feel confusion so pose questions that can help you gauge the difference between ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ feelings. Asking questions based on what you like is a good place to start. ‘Yes I like black shoes; no I don’t like brown cardigans.’

Even difficult situations can be broken down into the simplest of questions. For instance, let’s say you are finding it difficult to decide whether or not to buy a house. When you ask the question, ‘Shall I buy the house?’ you get a confused feeling because part of you says ‘Yes’ and the other part says ‘No’. When this happens break the purchase of the house into smaller pieces; did you like the garden, the kitchen, the layout, what work would you need to do on the house, etc.? Each of these questions can give a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answer. If all the answers are ‘Yes’ then you will feel more confident about your purchase. If you find one aspect that you didn’t like, you can ask another question. ‘Is this area going to be difficult for me to deal with; do I want or have the confidence to work with this?’ You will reinforce your certainty of connection to Source by understanding your answers through this simple ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ process.

Guidance also comes through many sources such as a sign, who you meet, or who you are drawn to spend time with. There is a purpose in your meeting. Today look at each person you meet, summarise your lunch, dinner or coffee meeting with an insight about the real purpose for why you have connected. What do these connections mean to you, how do they reflect who you are, who you are being and your core values? How do they answer your current question? You will find all the information you need to know is there in front of you. Most of the answers will be immediate. However, when you find yourself in confusion, be patient. Your mind may be very busy and you may not see the solution very clearly among all the options that your mind is presenting to you. Or you may need to meet the next person on your journey.

Once you have identified the form in which your Higher Self or Spirit chooses to relay its messages, and once you are out of confusion, you are essentially allowing these messages to move you beyond your mind and its judgement into the flow of Infinite Source. If you allow the message to land you will get that rush of energy that propels you forward with light-ness, ease and certainty of purpose. If you find yourself feeling sluggish when responding to your message then your feeling state is telling you to go back to your original question for further clarification on how to move forward.

Creating a sense of stillness and harmony in everyday life will enable you to quiet the noise within you and around you. Even five minutes of quiet in your car before you go into a meeting will allow you to unlink from your busy mind and access the guidance within. Find your method that will help you connect into your feeling state. It is there in your feeling state that you will find your guidance, your celestial navigation system. Always remember the clarity of the answers you receive will be determined by the quality and clarity of your questions. Look to your celestial navigation system. Consult your Higher Self to follow the North Star of your dreams. Let the path itself unfold and guide you with every step.
